21.06.2007Syntell and Mikros
On the 15 th of May 2007 Syntell (Pty) Ltd. acquired Mikros Traffic Monitoring and subsequently the controlling share of all its subsidiaries. Syntell previously traded as Plessey and has been active in the traffic controller market in South Africa since 1963. Mikros has been providing products and services to Syntell over a long period. This acquisition will position both companies more competitively in the growing monitoring market.
According to Mark Chewins CEO of Syntell, this friendly takeover will open many doors to both companies!
