Background
Mikros Systems was founded in 1977, to satisfy the need for detailed traffic information required by the then South African Road Research Institute. During the 1980s and early 1990s, the company grew as a result of ever-increasing demand for accurate, comprehensive and reliable traffic information.
The RAKTEL loggers with axle sensors have been successfully implemented as Toll Traffic Audit stations at most Toll Plazas in South Africa.
Mikros Systems is very active in the field of Weigh in Motion with the RAKTEL logger supported by a comprehensive software suit of programs.
Mikros Systems is represented in a number of SADEC countries, Europe, America and Australia.
